Switch unplaceable wallpaper areas and grandpa cutscene glitch

i recently got to year 3 on my newest stardew load, and when i was decorating my house i realized that i couldnt place different wallpapers on the collums/walls. i dont know why but the only ones i cant do this on is the walls/collums next to the baby room.

i also got grandpas cutscene of "my dear i havent seen you for a while..." and he tells you if hes proud or not, but i got it when i went into my wine cellar on Tuesday 2nd spring. i also did originally get the cutscene when i went to sleep on the 28th of winter. but im mostly confused on why i cant place wallpaper onto my walls.

Hello,
The wallpaper isn't an actual glitch, just a poor placement area. If you go to the side of the wall (The area which you can't see from the screen, because the game is 2D) then you can place the wallpaper there and it will appear on the part of the wall which you can see.

I don't know about the grandpa part
