Unable to place legendary fish in fish ponds

Hi, I am playing on Steam PC for windows. I have SDVE including the recommended mods to go along with it. I also have the save any time, chests anywhere, skull cavern elevator mod, and one that allows some characters to become eligible for marriage.

I caught my first legendary, a Crimsonfish, and tried to place him in an empty fish pond that I built after catching him. I click on the pond and it says it is empty. But when I try to place the crimsonfish in the pond a message appears saying 'Your Crimsonfish will not be happy here'. Is there something else I need to do in order to be able to place this fish in the pond? Or is it a glitch possibly with one of the mods I have installed. Please any information would be appreciated. Everything is also UTD.

Hmmm. the wiki says that it has been possible to put legendaries in a fish pond from version 1.6.9. on. My first suspects are that either you nevertheless do not have the last version (odd if you have Steam version), or then SDVE does something (it adds new fish doesn't it)

Yes it does. I've looked as best as my ability allows on the wiki's but nothing even close to my problem came up

Yeah. You have something odd. As I now had a moment to test, empty pond and a crimsonfish. In it went. Testing idea: make a copy of your save (so you don't mess it), and of your Mod folder (so you don't mess it, either, especially config files) and then see what happens if you either remove or add mods one by one.

(is there a functioning mod for saving any time? I saw one once and it seemed to have a lot of problems. I'm shamelessly cheating with TimeSpeed but it means that the savepoints are very far from each other and I find myself playing into night (IRL night) to get to the savepoint...

I'll have to give that a try on the weekend when I have time, hopefully its just one of the mods.

I like it for the convenience of being able to save anytime, but it is really buggy at times. My partner and I have played together with it and if we're in the mines we can't pick up anything on the level we saved on and sometimes it glitches the NPC's out for the entire day (which is unfortunate if you had to save really early in that game day). But otherwise I haven't had any issues. It could even be that one messing with my fish tbh considering all the other issues I've read others have had.
