When I start a new save file I can get all the way to picking up the starter package in the house, but when I walk out the door the game remains on a blackout screen while repeating the same error info as displayed in the SMAPI log. Using the mod Teleport NPC Location, I can leave the farm and enter town, when trying to re-enter the farm from the east entrance the same error occurs. This only occurs on new save files. My Year 3 save file does not have this issue and has no trouble loading the farm layout.
