1) what is the etiquette for when to contact a creator if you want to tweak a mod *for personal use only* but they specify to ask permission before altering it? Is it:
-ask before you do anything at all?
-ask when you think the coding will work but before you implement the change?
- ask when you've got the whole thing down?
-ask only if thinking of releasing what was personal use to others?
2) one of the things I was looking into was changing when an NPC gives the farmer gifts, in person as well as through the mail. I assume the latter is done via Mail Framework Mod, but I didn't see anything in Content Patcher or other patching mods for the times when an NPC gifts the farmer directly. Am I missing something obvious or does this require more complicated coding than it seems?
