Switch Treasure Totem Crafting [v1.6.15 build 11]

After starting the Qi Crops Quest, I tried crafting multiple Treasure Totems at the crafting table. Although I crafted around ten or more, only one Treasure Totem was actually created, even though the resources were still being consumed each time. When I placed the crafted totem in a chest and attempted to craft another, the first totem disappeared from the chest. The only way I was able to craft multiple Treasure Totems without them disappearing was by removing the materials from the chest and crafting directly from my inventory instead.
Since I was able to find a workaround for the bug, I wanted to share what I discovered in case others run into the same problem.

Update: On the following in-game day, I attempted to craft more Treasure Totems without the crafting table, but the workaround stopped working as well.

I have the same issue. No matter how many totems I create, only one shows in the bag. Worse, it seems to replace the horse flute. Here's a clip.

I’ve had the same issue - it also is showing I have 303 mystic syrup with the advanced crafting turned on (I have 7). It originally started accumulating the treasure totem normally, then jumped from 13 crafted to 2, then would only have 1 in my pocket and wouldn’t increase

I have the same problem! This is after the update 12/25 that also is not allowing me to play online co-op.

It seems to be only the treasure totem that I can tell.

I have the same problem since two days! It also shows I can craft way more treasure totems and have much more magical syrup then I actually have. And there are constantly items disappearing. At first I thought it's because it's replaced by the treasure totem but by now at least 10 items went missing..

Hi - I am playing the most recent switch update as well (on oled not switch 2) and having this problem with the treasure totems/mystic syrup, and also with moss soup/moss. This includes the horse flute disappearing. So far those are the only two things I am having trouble crafting/cooking.

I had this problem with crafting Blue Grass Starter! Only one showed up. I was able to get around it by only crafting one at a time in order to not waste materials, but it was a bit frustrating.

I had a similar issue with Treasure Totems. For me, I was seeing both a Coffee & Horse Flute get consumed from my inventory every time I tried to craft a Treasure Totem at the workbench. I am playing on the Switch 2, using the original SDV "release" rather than the "Switch 2 Edition". I did allow the console to update on the morning of Dec 25th, and while I did not write down the version number yesterday when the issue first presented itself, today it shows "v1.6.15 build 11".

When I opened the crafting screen on Ginger Island, I found that I could craft a Treasure Totem without any materials, such as Mystic Syrup. I was able to craft one, and it turned out to require seven coffee beans, one snake bone, and five hardwood pieces.

same issue here! i was able to craft a treasure totem, without actually having any mystic syrup or moss at all. instead, the crafting consumed two crab pots and some other random things.
it seems the bug lays more on the side of the mystic syrup? even now, without any syrup at all in my inventory, it says that i have one.

Same here! Except even when trying your method it won't work. I have use one then make another.

I am having the same issue and it seems it is not using the mystic syrup but it is still pulling the hard wood.

I am experiencing issues with the game in Switch as well (not Switch 2). All of my totems disappeared when I created a treasure totem :cry: and I was unable to get them back. Also every time I create treasure totems, only one gets created but the resources from the chest are being consumed, regardless of how I create them.
