Does anyone know if equipping two stacks the chance to get a treasure chest? I've heard that it does, but don't know how to really check for sure. Given how poorly I fish, if the effect doesn't stack, I should use the second clot to increase bite rate or improve my chance of actually landing the fish.

Yeah they do stack, though the treasure hunter bobber boost is so insignificant (5% per vs 15% from the pirate profession, 15% from magnet bait, default 15%) you're much better off just going for either pure dressed spinner, or a mix (if you want to maximize irl time a little bit more)

Just realized it's tackle, not bobber, oof. No wonder I'm so bad at fishing.

Thank you! I have pirate and I belatedly realized that if I have 10 million G lying around, I might as well buy 200 magnet bait. I'll give it a go. I just need like thirty more animal crackers ...

Funny, I know that golden animal crackers have a far higher chance to be found in treasure chests, but I got the majority of my animal crackers from Mines/Skull Caverns runs... to the point that I'm sometime surprised to find one or more in my inventory when heading back to the farm.

Same, I got the majority of the crackers so far just by bashing monsters. But I'm all for trying new strategies.
