Switch Townsfolk wont leave homes or go to work

All townsfolk including Pam are not leaving their homes at all. This happened after adding a player to my game for local co-op. Also when entering into homes the npcs are glitching and walking through walls.

All townsfolk including Pam are not leaving their homes at all. This happened after adding a player to my game for local co-op. Also when entering into homes the npcs are glitching and walking through walls.

I’m having the same issue with them not leaving the house and walking through walls. I noticed when sam and Sebastian weren’t outside on Saturday. I’m on PS4 but it also started when I added another player. None of them will leave the house but I noticed a few just aren’t moving at all. It seems that the villagers I talked to after adding her are the ones that won’t move, but all of the others are walking through walls.

I am having a similar problem. Playing a new save on switch, forest farm year 1. Started the game with all three cabins built and no one is leaving their houses. I found Sam in marnies house but when I tried to talk to him the game said he was busy working. He glitches out repeatedly before walking through walls of the house. Linus leaves his tent and vanishes and never returns until the next morning. The town and saloon are constantly completely empty.

Has anyone found a fix to this bug? Just started a new co-op farm on switch. Everything was fine until the 4th day of spring. The dog I adopted on the 5th won’t even move at all. And no one leaves their homes.

Just encountered this issue as well when playing on the switch. My wife joined into my long term game im on year 5 with over 100 hours in. Now non of the npcs are leaving their house. I can't take the bus to the desert anymore . Luckily can still go to ginger island. Please if anyone finds a fix that would be amazing

I managed to fix it by leaving the game immediately at the start of a new day, then loading back in without co-op enabled. I'm so glad I managed to fix it im so close to perfection on this save. Also I'm not sure if this has something to do with it but try getting all of your current friendship cutscenes to go through as well since co-op could've bugged that and caused some issues with the villagers, but I'm not sure.
Edit: I'm on Xbox Series S btw.

If you warp to the desert does the bus appear there to take you home?
