I thought of this while looking at the post about adding some more activities during the winter. Essentially, town heart events are, indeed, heart events triggered by a variety of factors; primarily your friendship level with every townsperson! There might not be quite as many as with normal NPCs, so maybe just ranges (2-4, 5-8, and 9-10-heart events), but there could be multiple of each depending on the season. This is where it differs more from a regular heart event - one 5-heart event in the summer might be a beach party thrown by the whole town, but primarily the bachelors, so it's kind of a showy-off event. The winter 5-heart event, though, could be a big impromptu snowball fight in Cindersap forest, where the Farmer unintentionally gets into a snowball fight with one of the NPCs and others join in until the whole town is participating.
These would be different from just festivals or annual events because they have to be triggered by having enough friendship with everybody, and they can differ by season. So as long as one has at least 2-4 hearts with every townsperson, and it's the correct season, and there's presumably nothing going on that day, the 2-4 community heart event can trigger (potentially there's only 2 or 3 different seasonal events per range, so maybe spring and fall for 2-4, summer and winter for 8-10, etc). These wouldn't quite be entire new activities, so it's not like they'd cure winter boredom, but it's something more to look forward to, and a different twist on heart events. Potentially, NPCs like Krobus can even join in on these if the right requirements are met! What do you guys think?
