iPad Gen 9. I'm still having issues with the toolbar (as are others). I've had tools chosen from random slots, but most of the time it's from slot #1. I can't figure out all the times it happens, but slot #1 gets auto-selected 100% of the time when I get on my horse and doesn't get deselected when I get off. I've started carrying a diamond in slot #1 instead of a tool so I don't destroy anything by mistake.
Another problem is that I'm losing crops, hitting chests, etc., because the game is "remembering" the last tool used after it was auto-selected. For instance, if I walk up to a Large Stump (hardwood), the game auto-selects the axe and chops it up. Before the update, the auto-selection would end there and I could go about my business. After the update, the axe remains selected and is not being auto-deselected, so I end up axing whatever I click on next (like a crop). I now have to remember to click on the diamond (in slot #1) to manually deselect the axe.
I know you're getting inundated with trouble reports, but I really hope the toolbar gets fixed.
