There was a war... so why not invaders in the mine

so if you read all the scrips you know there is/was a war going on and kent was in it
what if in the mind you come across disserters?
or you have a sherif visit now and then with cutscenes where you help him track invaders/deserters down in the mines

If the invaders are human I don't know that killing other humans would be in the spirit of the game. Maybe if the invaders were a monster?
