The stardew nuzzlock

I'm thinking of crafting the hardest (not the most time consuming) stardew challenge run I can, so far the challenges I'm combining are as follows, the NE (no energy), NF (no food) ND (no dieing) and I'm only able to sell things classified as a fruit. Obviously this should be done on a random seed, so, any more challenges I should add? Oh and this will be going to perfection.

If you really want, you can add No Vending (NV), which means you can only sell produce in the bin, not selling it to shops, and no buying things from shops. So you can only get your produce going with Wild Seeds. Combined with only selling fruit, that could really make things especially difficult. It certainly isn't one I'd do personally, but if you really want a challenge, there you go.

NV would also mean you wouldn't be able to buy fruit tree saplings, which would be particularly crippling to your long-term profit strategy. Although I suppose once you find an Ancient Fruit Seed, you're off to the races regardless.

Hey, there's a challenge for you NAF (No Ancient Fruit). Prohibit yourself from planting it. Be easier than No Vending since you can get saplings, but it can really cramp your ramping.

I'm adding both now NV and NAF xP cause that'll increase the difficulty. And once the community center is complete or Jojo mart, the island would provide banana and mango sapplings

I am fond of using the name exploit to help rack up the income, so not using it feels kind of like a nuzlocke to me. 😄

Farrow, I've spent some time thinking about your post. There are so many challenges one can choose. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "crafting the hardest challenge run", so perhaps these ideas have no relevance. Here are a few I have thought of:

Marry and then divorce every marriable character
Earn 8 hearts of friendship with every npc.
Build 1000 of different items, like: crystalariums, red, green, blue, yellow, and red items. diamonds or any other mineral
Have a certain amount of gold in your inventory. 1 billion? 5 billion? 25 billion?
Play for a certain number of years. 25? 50? 100?
Collect a certain number of pearls. 10? 25? 100?

Sadly the cc without leveling isn't possible in single player. And thank you for the suggestions! I'm adding the no sleeping (pass out at two am every night) and collecting a hundred of every gemstone.

Also skull caverns for saplings. Mostly would be iridium farming into staircase crystalariums.

Honestly money challenges aren’t super super hard, just very time consuming. You don’t even have much to show except for what you buy as money is “wiped” at a certain level.
This is the same as playing for an amount of years, not too tough, just tedious.

Crafting 1000 of things is quite satisfying and fun though, it’s a nice challenge to try out.

I think that it would be impossible to achieve Perfection without allowing yourself to grow at least one ancient fruit or do any fishing? Or did you mean to achieve the statue of Perfection, not the final Summit?

Im going to do it the same way other challenges to perfection do, when it comes to selling I collect everything I need and sell it only after I have the golden clock (this is to minimize the impact of the money)

Fish tank is just an eternity of some krobus and traveling cart luck. And some other stuff for random things needed like crabs.
Yeah, I've done a no energy challenge before, and I'm very familiar with how to get most the items. Hopefully one day it may end up easier to get the fish tank done

I have some old ideas and new (to me) ideas:
  • Thou shalt not profit from spirits. No selling alcoholic beverages. (NSS)
  • Mormon challenge. NSS plus no drinking, making, or gifting coffee.
  • Small earth footprint. No cutting trees off the farm. Minimal foraging (no hogging the entire valley) as needed for quests and bundles. Cleanup and hoeing allowed.
  • Thou shalt make clothes. Feeble human. No ignoring the weather.
    • No walking in the rain off pavement (encourages crafting some floors immediately) without appropriate boots.
    • No standing in the rain without rain hat and coat.
    • No standing in the cold or detouring from a straight path between buildings without a sweater or coat.
    • Wear a sun hat when the weather is hot (summer).
  • Nutritional vegan. Don't eat (but can make and gift) animal food. Can "enslave" animals and profit from them.
  • Pacifist lite. Don't use anything but your Scythe to defend yourself.
