Issue The game won't launch (SMAPI problem)

Hello there. The problem is "simple" ; my game won't launch, no matter if I use mods or not.

Using SMAPI, I managed to get a message of error ; apparently some files are corrupted. I already tried to fix it using the "Verify Integrity of Game Files " function on Steam and nothing changes.

Do you know how to fix this ?

Hmm.... this is odd. The command prompt suggests the SDV tried to access a corrupted game graphics building file (Not a system one), but in the SMAPI log, there are no errors, the log just stops before the world started to load, and after all of the mods and game files loaded. Could you try to run with a new installation of SDV? You can go ahead and back up the saves, but go and uninstall SDV from steam, then to be sure there is nothing left, go to "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\" and make sure the "Stardew Valley" folder is gone. Then just reinstall SDV and put the saves back to the same folder. That might work?

okay, so I just took these from the SDV troubleshooting help page. Try both of these:
  • Delete the startup_preferences folder in %AppData%/StardewValley
  • Make sure you have .NET 5.0+ installed
If those don't work contact the support for SDV here.

Update : I finally found the root of the problem. I uninstalled the game and made sure the file was deleted and tried to run the vanilla game ; it worked. However, when I installed SMAPI and tried to run the vanilla game, the problem that I had came back and only went away if I uninstalled SMAPI.

I'm still blocked though, I'm not sure what to do next.
