Teams in multiplayer

Now that we are going to have multiplayer with up to 8 players, it would be interesting to have teams or groups where they can share income together.
Imagine you are playing with 5 people and you got married to one of the players;
now you create a group with them, and the income is shared while the others' incomes are separate.
Or create two teams to see who can make more profit in 1 year.

That would be an interesting system, and potentially a feature a mod could add if the game itself does not.
