Strawberries :>

Hey all! Recently got Stardew Valley so bear with me as I learn to handle stupid dilemmas myself :V

Soo I'm on my first save and I bought some strawberry seeds at the Egg Festival and I just harvested the strawberries. Should I sell them or keep them for putting in preserve jars?
I'm not on farming level 4 and don't have the recipe for the jars yet so I don't know if it's better to sell them immediately after harvesting or keep them until I get a few preserve jars to turn into jelly.

Anyone know which is a better choice? :owo:
Thanksss

"Better" is very subjective. What's better for one person might not be for another.

But here's probably the most important thing for you to know right now. Preserve jars are very expensive to craft, because they need a lot of coal. If you only craft one or two jars then the tiny bit extra money probably won't be worth the wait, and it's unlikely you'll be able to craft lots of jars in your first season of your first save.

So, I'd recommend selling them raw and investing the cash in more seeds. Even if you only buy parsnips, each 120g strawberry will buy six 20g parsnips, and in four days they'll be worth at least 210g, plus you'll get another 48 valuable experience points towards your next level up in Farming skill.

i saved them and turned them into seeds when i got the seed maker. my goal was to plant strawberries on day one the next year and get more crop. if you planted them the day after you got them at the spring festival you should get two crops the first year. more the second year.

I just plant most of my Strawberry Seeds and give the 'Berries to Maru afterwards as they are her Loved Gift. I do keep a Seed or two for when I get the Greenhouse finished as I like to fill it with one spot of each reharvestable crop (Strawberry, Tomato, Eggplant, etc.) and then the rest with Ancient Fruit.
