1.6 Update Stolen truffles

I was going to collect my truffles for the day when suddenly one of them started moving. A yellowish creature like a crab was taking it away and disappeared when hit with a sword. Has anyone else experienced it? Maybe it was there before, I just didn't see it.

I’ve heard they only really show up if you leave the truffles out for a bit but I may be wrong
