Hello - The following is a bit of a cycle I'm going through every day trying to play. I can start by playing the game fine using the Steam Deck itself for controls. Then if I switch to my controller (using a ps5 one right now) the game won't detect it. The controller works in Steam itself, just not Stardew Valley. (the touchpad on the controller will move the mouse in game, but no buttons work)
The following fixes this *sometimes* - I'll exit the game, "forget"t he controller in Steam's bluetooth settings, re-pair, go to the game and delete proton files + controller layout in the developer menu, restart the game.
Sometimes the above works first time, sometimes I do it over and over 5+ times until it works.
A few times I've had the reverse happen where when I go from controller --> Steam Deck, the Deck's controls itself aren't working at all in the game. When that happens, rebooting will fix it (but it does not fix the Deck --> Controller issue).
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
