Started playing terraria.

As the title so eloquently expresses, I have started on my journey of terraria playing.

Got it two days ago as I made a promise with a friend in July that if they bought stardew I’d buy terraria which are both our respective favourite games.

They bought it but I didn’t for a few months until this weekend, with time to waste and nothing to do, I did so.

It’s been fun, I think I have played too much though.

In the last 50~ hours since I bought it I have already 26 hours played.

That’s the most I’ve played any game in that time period, more than even stardew as I’ve never really had the time before.

It’s been fun, right now I still haven’t entered hardmode but I’m very very close.
I wanted the terraspark boots so I’ve spent a massive amount of time getting those, k need one more item, the lava charm which I’m trying to get now.

Fishing in this game makes Minecraft fishing look fun.
It’s the most boring thing, in lava I get a bite every 8-16 minutes.

I would play Terraria a lot more (OK, at all) if I could keep the UI straight, it just doesn't click in my head. This is likely only me but I strongly suspect I'd have picked it up a lot easier when I was younger. Right now it bonks off my head like a golf ball in a bathtub.

I have about 300 hours, it's a super fun game as long as you do different things than usual. It has way more building potential than Minecraft, and has way better basically everything in my opinion. What bosses have you beat so far, and what NPCs do you have?

I have all npcs and am entering hardmode.

I like all the weapons as honestly even as someone who speedruns I love taking my time sometimes to collect useless but nice looking accessories and tools.

like the Neptune’s glaivein stardew or something like a dark lance here.

It’s one of the reasons that i think Minecraft has better build potential but decoration in this is way better.

What I also like is that it’s a game which I feel equally motivated to play multiplayer as single player.

On stardew I like single player and feel motivated to play it on my own but also like multiplayer which is the optimum for me.

For Minecraft it’s different, I only really love playing multiplayer with friends or against them for a common goal, even servers aren’t that fun.

terraria is a mix, it leans a bit more towards multiplayer for me but if I have a few goals then I’ll pursue those, so far at least.

mice been fishing for the lava charm for terraspark boots for the last 4 hours and doing it while I type. It’s pain but I like opening chests and getting that feeling of suspense.

Cool, my base is a mess right now.
The top right, making a mega base but I’m just fighting plantera so I don’t have massive in game progress.

1.4.4 dropped and messed me up, my brain was working 110% when I saw I had acquired a stack of 1200 mud.

Also my true nights edge became horrid for damage but got a way better ability which overall makes it far superior.

The worst part is the outdated wiki, I got a weapon that not even the patch notes mention and I’m so confused about it.

It's a kite that you can use as a weapon and indefinitely fly all over the screen as long as it can navigate there, not actually bad and I like it for monsters that are in caves as you can just shoot it around and fly it everywhere into them while being the whole screen away.

Called the something kite I forgot.

True night's edge after update is amazing though.

turns out the kite is the flying knife, I am incredibly opblivious and didn't read it correctly.
