Linux Stardew Valley not starting on Steam Deck

I‘m not able to play Stardew Valley on my Steam Deck. When I start the game it closes in the Most cases before reaching the main menu. In some cases it comes to the main menu but then freezes and closes.

I already reinstalled it several times, tried on internal storage and sd card. I also made a factory reset of the steam deck but the issues still persists.

Is there anyone who had the same issue and has a solution for it?

I can say that on my Steam Deck there are no issues with running the game. I can't tell much about in-game experience because I'm playing solo on Switch and coop on Xbox, and on Steam I bought the game only to support the author, but I just checked few minutes ago after seeing your post and can play without crashes (last patch from 28th December).

@fry8511 Did you try changing the compatibility mode (game settings in steam library -> properties -> compatibility)? Maybe forcing to use last Proton or Proton experimental would fix the issue? At least for some game in the past it does for me.

thank you for your reply.
I already tried all available Proton versions in compatibility mode but I wasn‘t able to play the game.
I only have the issue on steam deck, on PC and Mac it is working fine.
