Stardew Saves on Multiple Steam Accounts

Hello! My mom and I both play Stardew. She has a steam, and I have a steam. They have separate emails. But there are three main save files that originated on her Steam (or possible another one) that are showing on my Steam, on a totally separate laptop. I did accidentally sign into her Steam, or the Steam that had those save files originally on it on my new laptop at first. I loaded up Stardew and saw the saves and knew I was on the wrong account. So I made another and re-purchased Stardew.

Basically, I do not want the three saves that are showing on my Steam but didn’t originate there. I want to delete them but there are so many hours on them. I am scared if I delete them that they will be permanently gone, and not just removed from my personal Steam account. Is this true? Or would it only remove from my Steam? Thanks in advance. :)

I believe you can delete them off your computer and it'll be fine, it won't affect your mom's saves on her computer! If you want to be extra safe though, you can locate the save files by going to %appdata%/StardewValley/Saves and copy your mom's saves to a different folder before removing them (ether by deleting them in the original save folder or just deleting them in-game)

I had family share with a few friends before and I remember their saves turned up on my computer, but I was able to delete them without any issue. Granted, this was some years ago
