[Spoilers] Ancient Doll on the TV???

So, this just happened in my current save. Anyone ever see it before? First time I've seen it, and I haven't added or changed my mods any lately. The end result of watching it is that whatever music is playing stops, there's a bat screech, and the ancient doll pops out of the TV to the ground and goes into your inventory. Can't tell if there are any differences between it and the ancient dolls of the same type I've found via artifact spots. Also note, this happened on the day before Spirit's Eve, Year 3, so it might be related to that?? Anyways...

EDIT: I loaded the game through the Steam client with *ALL* of my mods removed just to make sure this wasn't related to any of them. This event *STILL* took place, even with no mods and having used the "Verify integrity of game files" before loading.

You used the Dark Shrine of Selfishness, did you? Go back to the Witch's Hut for a surprise.

Of course I did, just like many other saves before. Thanks for the tip-off, I can't wait to see how this goes. :)

EDIT: Visiting the Witch's Hut was entertaining. I wonder if there are other "consequences" for the other two shrines as well.

As far as I know, this only happens on a particular farm map or two. You're playing on the Standard Farm in this save, and didn't in others?

Almost all my farms are the standard farm map. The River and Hill-Top farms aren't big enough for what I want to do, the Forest farm is pretty, but hard for me to work with, and the Wilderness farm "perk" is something I can get once I have access to the witch's hut and a strange bun.

Forest Farm is the smallest, btw, so if the Hill-Top isn't large enough for you, nothing but Standard and 4-Corners will do. Maps ranked from largest to smallest: Standard > 4 Corners > Hill-Top > Wilderness > Riverland > Forest. Caveat: Hill-Top is larger based on total tiles (think single digit difference), but Wilderness has more tillable space (by a lot, and here we're talking hundreds of tiles).

Also, imho, by the time you get to the Witch's Hut, you don't need the Wilderness map's perk. The perk is only useful early game, meaning it is still useful and relevant to play that map. Then when you get to the Witch's Hut, when you're tired of the Wilderness perk and don't need it any more, you turn it off.

I don't really care about the benefits of the perk itself, I just enjoy having mobs for target practice at times ;)
