for example, if an NPC says that they are in the mood for or are hungry for a certain food at a certain time, they might like that item more than before in that moment. As well as NPCs being in certain place, like the saloon, Pam might like beer more if they are there.
About seasons, Demetrius says that he focuses more on fungi in the fall. So mushroom gifts will have a higher relationship boost in that season than any other.
