Switch So many crashes!

I'm playing split screen co-op with my husband. We've updated to 1.6.9 but the game crashes almost constantly on us! We're using switch controllers, we've tried closing the game every couple in game days, we've tried avoiding both players in mines/caverns, volcano... We just lost a third attempt at finishing the volcano. He's ready to quit and we love this game. Any idea when a patch for that is coming? We can handle everything else for now but this one is making it more frustrating than fun.

So, here is what my wife and I do. Every 4-5 days, after it saves, completely close the game out from the Home Screen and reboot. We (crosses fingers) haven’t had a crash in about 10 sessions when doing this. It seems after 5-7 days the game runs into an issue and crashes for us.

it absolutely should be fixed, but at least for us this has worked.

other glitches we have noticed.

Pet disappeared after about a year and never came back, raccoon shop doesn’t ever expand as it should, glitch levels in the mine or skull cavern where you can’t pick up items.

Also if you need to finish volcano, having the host go in and having the second player follow through a couple levels, then having the host leave the volcano caused a glitch where the second player can run through a repeat level of lava several times to get to the forge and then unlock the door super easily.
