Smoother controller function (on PC) for making coffee

I'm hopeful this is the right place to post this. I noticed that when making coffee in the kegs, the process of placing the beans in the keg using a controller on PC is clunky. With fruits and vegetables, when placing in the keg, you can just hold the action button and run down the line of kegs and your farmer just quickly drops a crop in each keg. However, when making coffee, you have to have your farmer face each keg and drop a bean individually, or use the mouse to place the beans. I wonder if the game could be altered in the next update to have the beans performs more similarly to fruits and vegetables. It seems like a bug to me but I'm surprised that it hasn't been updated already. I've seen a few posts in the forums and on reddit mentioning the same difficulty so it must be a common enough occurrence.

Wen never made coffee, but this sounds like the wine casks (using gamepad on pc), which cant be filled or emptied "on the run". Need to place the bottle into the cask one by one.

I've been playing around with this and the smoothest solution I've found is to put the kegs in a long vertical line (the backwoods, right after you leave the farm is a good spot for this, or the quarry) and put the analog stick diagonally down and in the direction of the kegs. Your sprite will run a little slower but they'll be facing the kegs the entire time and they'll drop the beans as they run. Still going to take forever to work through the thousands of beans I've collected.

To expand a bit in this: a number of people have mentioned that emptying and refilling machines by arranging them vertically works a bit more easily on pretty much all devices. It isn't necessarily faster as dangerstar19 mentions but it's more consistent, which IMO is better. Even with mouse and KB, I find that unloading and loading something simple like the Oil Makers works better in vertical rows. Now that I think about it, I should try my Kegs and Jars in the Sheds vertically as well to see if that works better, too.
