SMAPI Error

I tried installing SMAPI and i got this error. "
Unhandled exception. System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'System.BadImageFormatException' from assembly 'System.Runtime, Version=6.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'.
at StardewModdingAPI.Program.Main(String[] args)" ive been struggling for half an hour trying to get this to work and it wont work. If yall could help me out, that would be great. Thanks! :D

Going to need some information to help. What operating system are you using? How did you install SMAPI? Are you on Mobile or desktop? Got to give people more details or we can't help.
