Slime Hutch and Mating Question

So I read that any potential slime mating is postponed to the next day each time you load a day from the main menu. Does this also apply if you “swap to previous save file”?

This is true, they are not able to breed as well as the fact that pre-watered throughs will be empty.

I don’t mind the empty watering troughs since apparently you can put a sprinkler by them.

Just curious if I can get around the slowed mating by loading the last day then reloading the current day.
