Switch Skull cavern cherry bomb

On switch, I’m unable to drop cherry bombs in skull cavern though it’s allowing me to drop regular and mega bombs

My only thought is that maybe you are trying to drop explosive ammo for the slingshot instead of cherry bombs. I've mistaken them for each other before. I play on Switch and haven't had any issues with Cherry bombs.
