I bought a laptop in Nov 2024 to play games at home. 
The graphic chip is 4080-laptop and CPU is i9-13980HX 2.20 GHz and with 32GB RAM.
The performance is approx close to 4070ti desktop.
I believe this laptop can be used over 5 years as I rarely play latest 3A games.
I was a console player since a child.
I still own PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
But I rarely play games on consoles as the only TV at home is occupied by my wife and kids.
I started to play games on Steam recently.
The photo isn't playing Stardew Valley
but I play SDV with this laptop and controller as well.
In addition to LOL, I hardly ever play games by using keyboard and mouse.
Using controller can be considered a tradition regardless of platforms.
The other reason is that my shoulders or waist don't feel comfortable when using keyboard and mouse.
I need to keep a posture for a long time. That is not easy for me.
Nevertheless, harvesting in SDV is better to use keyboard and mouse especially you have a ton of kegs to brew alcohol or pickle.
