I would like if separate sliders were available for different kinds of music so I can turn off the continuous background music while still being able to listen to music that is more event/location oriented.
I am one of those people that doesn't like background music in games (you run outside and music starts playing). I always turn off this music volume. Some games have limited event music or in game music such as visiting a club (like in Mass Effect) separate. This game, however, put all music on a single volume control. I find this annoying as there are times I think music based on events such as the flying bear and Sam's band in Zuzu City are just fine and actually preferred for me. So, if I walk into a players house and they have a radio there that adds to the immersive nature of the house, I am fine. I just don't like it when I am running around my farm and in the forest or mines.
This way, I can not have to listen to the continuous music, but then miss out on special events. (I find it strange and boring in Zuzu City with Sam, Sebastian and Abby on stage and with Emily getting into it and I get complete silence as that is considered the same "music" that I don't want to hear.
If this is added, I would find it an enjoyable bonus that music in locations like the luau and bar fade as you walk away from the source or get louder as you walk to it. (Major immersiveness!)
BTW, this is not a knock on music at all. I think it is fine if people listen to music all the time in games, I am just not one of those people.
