Switch Seed maker not working

The seed maker won’t let me put items in to produce seeds. I’ve tried different items required to make the seeds (I.e. foraged items as per craft instructions) but it isn’t working. It was working, but it randomly stopped. I’ve tried all sorts - I’ve put the seed maker in the chest, moved it round, made a new one, saved and restarted, nothing works. Thanks.

Did you try it with harvested items?
Which foraged items did you try?

not all of them work, I think it is only one per season to make wild seeds.
