A season end card had the gift icon on it. I used Krobus gift to go down into the mines which happened to be level 12. I drew an epic item which was the Golden Statue which also had a gift icon on it to gain 5 gold. Do I gain 5 gold because I am still in the gift phase?
The rules state you do the gift icon on the friend THEN all other gift icons. So because the friend's gift gained me the new gift item, I would think I can trigger the new item. However if instead it was a non-villager card that gained me the new gift item, I assume I cannot trigger the new item.
