SDV v1.6.15 update is out on PC/Mac and mobile, console to follow

still havn't found any glitches on console
Well then you are in a tiny, tiny minority my friend. Console is absolutely riddled with bugs and issues right now. I don't know how you haven't noticed the trophy/achievement bugs, workbench and kitchen item count issues, missing stock for vendors (golden coconuts, raccoon shop inventory, bookseller, etc.), divorce crashes, broken and borderline unplayable multiplayer problems, texture issues with the desert and farm cave, cursor issues when using controller-style menus, and countless other glitches and problems. Count yourself lucky, I suppose! Either way, hopefully it will all be fixed up nice and quickly ^_^

I've found two: crab pots occasionally giving a random number of items after reading The Art O' Crabbing, and the stove/workbench not telling how many of each item it has to draw from fridges/chests. They still draw from them and tell me what I can cook/build though, so only a minior inconvenience. I don't pay attention to system trophies so I have no idea how those are going, but in-game achievements are working fine for me.

Thank you for your positivity, friend. 🥰
Burying one's head in the sand isn't positivity. We need to acknowledge that the game is currently flawed on consoles. One person having a better experience with it doesn't mean it isn't a buggy mess right now. Ignoring reality for the sake of toxic positivity doesn't help anyone with anything at all

Hopefully, patches will be released soon for the rest of us on switch, xbx, and playstation, and this will all be behind us. But until then, it IS buggy and there's no reason to pretend otherwise

Specifically, the issue with trophies / achievements is that the new trophies for arriving on ginger island and reaching the bottom of the dangerous mines are swapped with each other-- fulfilling the requirements for one erroneously unlocks the other trophy. It's a small thing but needs to be brought up so it isn't overlooked by CA and his team

Did the bombs crashing the mines get fixed on console?
I believe that was patched fairly quick, along with the missing animals and some lag related issues. It was a good first step to get the game in a more stable state after the update finally arrived for us on consoles, and what they've been working on for over a month plus is a patch that will hopefully take us home and get consoles shored up to proper parity with PC

Mobile is buggier than it started out. 🤪 But my sincerest regards new content is there and so what if it’s buggy…it’s mobile. All mobile games are buggy hence why they make patches every 2 weeks minimum in most major games. Ape and team are way smaller and they still have irl lives too, if they get to enjoy them even. My irl husband is in cooperate it and does NOT get to enjoy irl time. Maybe CA actually has a heart for his team and so should we. I’d love it if my husbands dozens of irl bosses gave him irl time off from time to time. In other words we can wait for some time if need be or indefinitely. Happy Holidays everyone!

It isn't a competition, and no, we absolutely cannot "wait indefinitely"

These attitudes are ridiculous and I would sincerely advise those who are conducting themselves in such a manner to look inward and figure out why you have developed such a parasocial attachment to one man you don't even know personally. You can be a fan of his work and support him AS A FAN, which may include wishing him well and hoping he takes time for himself. But that is precisely where it should stop.

He has an obligation to fix as many issues as possible and patch all currently-supported versions of the game up to the same quality standard. That includes PC, all modern supported consoles, and mobile.

I don't care about your husband's work life balance. I don't care how much you love CA. What I've spoken are facts. He is not your / our friend, he is the developer of a game we enjoy and that is it. Take a step back and evaluate how you're acting. Frankly it's embarrassing.

He will patch the games up and he'll do it as quickly as possible for him and his team, because he's a working professional and he understands how to get things done. He's a good dude who makes great games for us to enjoy, and we can all appreciate that without going overboard and being weird about it

I'm so sorry my words were perceived as hostile! That certainly wasn't my intent. It can be frustrating to see this community jump through hoops to avoid any perceived "negativity", so I will admit I was perhaps speaking out of turn. While I stand by the message of what I said, I'm sure I could've found a better way to say it. And I definitely didn't intend anything as a "personal attack". I was encouraging introspection

You're right, there's nothing left to discuss here that is constructive. I hope we all have come away from this with some more food for thought to digest ^_^

More accurately balanced, they won't be as strong as they previously were but their produce will properly reflect, y'know, being legendary

I don't think it is, it's a free update and 'riddled with bugs' hardly contains the fact that many of the issues are rather minor, with only a few crashing bugs like the divorce one being meaningful in any regard.
Yeah, sure, CA and the team aren't personal friends with all of us, and for that same reason you could absolutely "wait indefinitely", there's no obligation for perfect gameplay or the updates that have come at all, sure it's expected and would upkeep his own presumed personal standards but it's not like you're paying any more for the game than people were in 1.0.
Saying that you hope the small team of developers has well personal time for themselves is just basic decency, not the parasocial relationship you're painting it to be. Some people can obviously stretch it further than need be but it's not like CA has any obligation to release updates or make new games at all, the guy has released one of the best selling games of all time out of what's basically a single man team in the majority of development, I'd rather give money and time to someone than have them turned off making games (or releasing on other platforms, as CA had earlier said might happen because of the horrid backlash from communities when 1.5 didn't release immediately on non-pc platforms).

And FWIW, "I hope the developers have ample time off and a fair work/life balance" is not the same as "I want to be made to wait for a long, possibly indeterminate amount of time, because oh my gosh that computer programmer guy on twitter is just so dreamy you guys!" are not the same statement

I 100% agree with the first. I find the second to be a little much, and borderline creepy. But that's just me and my own perspective

That's all totally fair! I definitely disagree with most of what you've said, FG, but I appreciate that we can bring our ideas to the table and discuss them peacefully ^_^
That's fair, and likewise, let's keep our conversations peaceful and productive

Oh I agree, but I don't think you understood the essence of the first message then. They weren't saying that verbatim, simply giving the sentiment of good things in due time, perhaps exaggerated but that comes with the semantics of language rather than exact meaning.

We aren't entitled to anything and more importantly, we simply don't know why things take so long. Choosing to give the team the benefit of the doubt shouldn't be considered toxic positivity or a parasocial relationship. I'd rather wait longer to make sure all the bugs are fixed properly while the team stays in a good mental health space, rather than get the update quicker at the cost of quality. While yes, I don't think the issues should be ignored in any way (it's actually better to bring them up so it's brought to the team's attention), I think saying it's "riddled with bugs" or "buggy mess" is over exaggerating it quite a bit. As a console player, the game is more than playable and the bugs don't ruin my experience. But I'm sorry if it feels like they do for anyone else.
