Issue Scary Wall of Red SMAPI

Hi everyone, I've been having so much fun playing Stardew with mods installed, so I was so confused to see a big wall of red text appearing in SMAPI popup. Here is the error log URL: https://smapi.io/log/4163bbf135b441138051338c129e0061 .

I've been playing multiplayer, and joining my friends' farm. We all have the same mods installed (90% of the same mods) and have been playing without issues for almost a month now. Yesterday, I recently replaced my UI Info Suite mod with its updated version on Github before my last play when it all went wrong. I'm not sure if that's what went wrong.

I'm using Steam on Windows, game version 1.6.8. Also, when I join the world, immediately there is just a black screen with my cursor, and I can't move or see anything. But to the host, I did load into the game and am just still in my bed not moving. It goes to normal and I'm able to see and move after waiting for about 2 hours in-game time. However, after I sleep and wake up, there is a big portion of my screen that is black, I can move, but I am trapped in my house and can't get out of the door for another 2 hours in-game.

Reading the error, it's very straight forward:

FileNotFoundException: Content\Mods/siamece.FarmAnimalFacelift/brown cow/brown.xnb

Looks like the game is expecting you to have a mod from siamece.FarmAnimalFacelift with a folder named brown cow with a file inside named brown.xnb and you don't. If someone else has that mod and you don't, then you need to install it.

Glad you solved it and glad I could help! The console output can sometimes seem confusing, but the part that matters most is normally the first or second line of the red text.


Just curious - what was the solve? Were you/someone else missing the mod?
