I and my girlfriend are having the exact issue listed in the post https://forums.stardewvalley.net/threads/farmhand-unable-to-proceed-through-mail.5035/#post-43402 but its both of us. When either of us tries to read mail it doesn't disappear and we can close and open it as many times as we want. Once we remove the mod that the mail comes from it is fixed until another piece of modded mail comes. She hosts it and I join. No clear errors in the log. I suspect it's got something to do with mailframework but I cannot just remove this mod to check if it works as it's a core dependency for many of the mods we use.
