Hey All,
I have no modding experience. I work in health care! I really want a Supernatural Stardew Valley mod, though. No one has created one (that I can find) so I thought I'd try to figure it out myself. How hard could it be, right? Of course I quickly got lost. I had previously downloaded the (excellent) Good Omens mod. It basically replaced Harvey with a character from Good Omens (Aziraphale). Nothing much else in the game was changed. They changed Harvey's name and appearance and his responses/reactions.
I'd like to do the same. It seems like an easy mod? But I'm quickly getting lost. I've got SMAPI downloaded with vortex and I worked through the first few lessons with Microsoft Visual Studios and I've read a little about JSON. The wiki seems to go into more than I need, though. I don't want to create whole new environments, I just want to change this one thing.
Help? Where do I start (again)?
EDIT: okay, I'm watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS5OpJadmOU which is actually helpful, except he's got PACKED and I've got Content (unpacked). Am I already screwed? I downloaded StardewXnbHack
