Xbox Repeated crashing when talking to Willy or fishing at Beach during Trout Derby

Playing on Xbox, I don't know what exact version number it is other than 1.6 but I encountered a series of crashes when I was trying to get resources for a Raccoon quest. I needed Cockles and a smoked tuna so I went to the beach to harvest my crab pots and two times I went to Willy to sell what I didn't need and two times the game crashed as soon as I pressed A to talk with Willy. In my third run, I assumed that the game crashed because I was talking to Willy during the Trout Derby so instead of trying to sell my junk to Willy I travelled back to my farm to sell my stuff in the harvest box then travelled back to the beach to fish for a tuna. As soon as I fished up a Tuna I also fished up a gold treasure box and as the treasure chest was opening the game crashed a third time. It is common in other games for the save file to be damaged on Xbox if the save crashes too many times so I am reluctant to try again. I can only hope the devs see this and tries to make the game more stable in a future patch on console.

I’ve been playing stardew on Xbox over the last few days and hadn’t been having any issues at all, then today there was an update (idk if it’s related) and now whenever I try to use Willy’s shop my game crashes. I can go behind the counter and talk to Willy just fine, just trying to open his shop crashes the whole game. I know yesterday (irl) I was able to use his shop no problem, and there’s no event or trout derby going on in my game so I’m thinking it’s an issue with Willy’s shop in this update of the game but that’s just my theory.

Same exact thing happened to me after the update, on series S. Can’t talk to Willy and I also can’t retrieve any aged wine from my cellar, it immediately freezes, then crashes

Doesn't really explain the game crashing when I fished up the treasure chest. Concerned Ape recently posted a tweet saying he is aware of crashes happening specifically on xbox and he is working to release a patch ASAP. I am hoping when it releases it will fix my issue.

Same the game was all good yesterday now it just crashes when when I try to interact with Willy or the raccoon.

Yeah idk why that’s happening, I haven’t had any issues so far with the treasure chests. I have found a new issue- placing a bee hive crashes my game on classic Xbox one. There seem to be so many random unrelated crashes now, it’s strange. I hope the patch comes out soon though, thanks for the update about concerned ape’s post
