Windows Refrigerator Links

I was surprised at how the refrigerator and mini-fridge worked in Stardew Valley. I am documenting that behavior here in hopes that someone can clarify the Wiki or make a bug fix. Here is my story:

I prepare for the Qi's Cuisine Special Order by stock piling ingredients in the Mini-Fridges in the Pelican Town farmhouse. I cook the higher sell price recipes. I grow coffee beans, taro root, and pineapple on Ginger Island and cart them back to the Mini-Fridges in the farmhouse. Because the Wiki says "The refrigerator is unique in that it is directly linked with the cooking interface", I thought I could load up the Ginger Island farmhouse refrigerator with coffee, taro roots, and pineapple and cook recipes in the Pelican Town farmhouse. For Instance, I have Coconuts and Hot Peppers in the Farmhouse mini-Fridge and Pineapple in the Ginger Island Refrigerator, but I couldn't cook Tropical Curry in the farmhouse because the Pineapple was missing.

I was curious to find out how the refrigerator and Mini-Fridge links really work. I ran some experiments.

As I show above, the Pelican Town farmhouse stove doesn't link to the refrigerator in the Ginger Island refrigerator. I transferred the Pineapple to a Mini-Fridge in the Ginger Island farmhouse and the Pelican Town farmhouse stove could not link to these Pineapple.

Similarly, the Ginger Island stove could not cook recipes using ingredients in the Pelican Town farmhouse refrigerator and Mini-Fridges.

On the farm and by the carpenter shop I tried to cook with the Cookout Kit and with no food in my inventory. No recipes were available even though the refrigerators contained enough food to make most recipes. On Ginger Island I tried the Cookout Kit with no food in my inventory and no recipes were available. I put Taro Root in my inventory and could cook Poi.

Conclusion: On Windows 10 with 1.6 and no Mods, the Cookout Kit is not linked to any refrigerator and the link from stove to refrigerator is geographically restricted (the Ginger Island stove sees only Ginger Island refrigerators). These links seem like a reasonable representation of reality. If this is what is intended, then I would hope someone with access could update the Wiki. If the intent was as the Wiki states every Refrigerators is an extension of the player's inventory, then there are bugs in the stove and Cookout Kit links.
