this is specific to the switch 2 version. after re-downloading the game on my regular switch OLED/downgrading from the switch 2 version, button function is back to normal.
the R and ZR buttons no longer scroll the tool bar, instead they act like the A button and will interact with whatever. (tool will be used, food will be asked to be eaten, seed will be planted, etc). the L and ZL buttons still work just fine so I can take the "long" way around my tool bar, but it's not efficient and makes activities like skull cavern a lot harder.
in english, haven't had the opportunity to play through w/ a co-op.
