The bulletin outside of Pierre's can have a quest to bring Robin 35 stone. When you she pays you but doesn't take them. The language used in the quest makes me think that she is supposed to take them.

Are you playing in english? generally quests like this state that the recipient wishes to "inspect" the items and not necessarily take them
