Mac Quest appearing blank.

Hi everyone,

One of the quests in the journal is appearing completely blank. (I think it is 'build a silo' as I recall that quest popping up and it is now gone) The small triangle icon continues to bob as if there is a line of text that should follow. However, the title and description of the quest is completely blank. There is no option to clear away the quest using the red 'discard' icon at the bottom (the red circle with a line through it). The quest continues to appear blank each day, and does not reset after sleeping within the game, leaving the farm, accepting new quests etc.

I am having the same problem every time I open my game, despite completely shutting down Steam and my entire laptop (Mac) before opening the game again. I am not sure if this is unique to my game or if anyone else has been experiencing a similar problem. I have been playing Stardew Valley for a long time and this is the first time this 'glitch' has happened to me.

Has anyone experienced the same thing or found a way to fix it. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same issue on Switch with a different quest that is also not cancelable. I think it might be “Build a coop”. This appeared after the latest update.

Same issue on PC. Pretty sure mine is the quest to investigate community center for rats. I skipped the cut scene with the mayor (really quickly) and noticed I never received the quest. I still went in and opened the bundle and continued the game. I was then notified by the wizard the next day as usual, but when I exited the game and opened back up, that's when I noticed the blank quest. It's pretty annoying. I just restared a new save....
