Qi Fruit

Good afternoon, y'all! I just finished Qi's quest (successfully for the first time this save!) and I had about 60 extra fruit left over at the end, and a handful of extra seeds, so I sold them to Pierre in the hopes of buying them back the next day. I showed up the following afternoon - no Qi Fruit. Did I show up too late in the day, and he sold them all? Does the chance for him to have something for sale vary when you load a day, and I can try restarting the day? Should I check back tomorrow? Has the ability to buy them back been patched out?

The ability to buy back has been patched out of the game iirc.

Sorry for the letdown

Tragedy! I struggle to finish the quest in under two weeks, and even 3 weeks is quite a bit of work, but Qi doesn't always give me a full month to do it. I guess I'll just carry on and hope I get lucky with the quest timing in future.

And here I was blaming Harvey for buying them before I could get to them. I'm sorry, Harvey.

Lol, Harvey would be the type of guy to buy blue beans though

You may know already but if you make Qi fruit into jelly or wine, you keep them after the quest finishes. I've taken the quest just to do that and not shipping any, and just slapping a bunch of fairy dust around to process them instantly. :toothy:

you can also just wait for them instead of using fairy dust, they won't disappear if they are in a processing machine at the end of the quest

I just like using fairy dust for one-off batches so I've built up a stockpile. Apart from getting insta-produce, you only need one machine and one hopper - you can do it without a hopper but it makes it simpler. :toothy:

Good point, I don't think I've ever not just bought the resources outright, always felt a little funny that you could do that, Robin's secret little ploy to drum up business
I usually only went for the quest if it was for stone and bombed my way through the volcano. 😆 It's fun, but the chest deconstructor method is way easier. You can also just reconstruct the chests afterwards and use them again, no material loss.

Robin drumming up business like when Clint gives you a dozen geodes as a Winter Star gift. Before geode crushers anyway. Thanks dude, a present I have to pay you to open. 😆
