PS5, how to plant fast

How in the hells are you supposed to get anything done at a reasonable pace on the first of a season? The controls are wacky as hell. Fertiliser and crops go in the wrong square very frequently and it's slow as hell. If I put forth the 'pointer', it doesn't move when I do, so that's awful as well 😥

I'm trying to plant some 100-odd crops on autumn 1, and by 6pm I've got like 30 in the ground. There has to be some trick to it, cause this is 10 times slower than on pc. At least

Do you have placement tile indicator turned on in the options? That should help you with seeing where seeds/fertilizer will be going. As far as fertilizing/planting quickly, just hold down the square button and run, basically.

Best to stay away from the pointer when doing things like this. As you noted, it's very cumbersome to use on console, and much slower.

Yes, I do have tile placement indicator on, but it isn't always correct. And sometimes will jitter from square to square. Seems very odd, or hit and miss 😥 For example, when placing 6 trellis in summer, one randomly got placed behind my back.

I've tried to search for console related tips, even with site: searches, but nothing relevant comes up. It is frustrating when the process is so slow, and many mistakes happen, seemingly by chance.

Hmm, I can plant/fertilize hundreds of crops in a day easily, so I think I'd have to see how you're trying to do these things to see the problem you're having.

All I do is just line up a row, hold the seeds/fertilizer, then hold down the Y (square) button and run around the tilled soil. If you're holding the button down, whenever you approach an open tilled soil tile, it'll automatically place a seed/fertilizer there. So you can literally plant/fertilize a hundred tiles with one button press.

Perhaps the tile placement indicator is broken on PS5? I'm not sure, as I only play on Switch. Sorry if I'm not being any help, I just assumed the mechanics would be the same across the console versions.
