Solved Prize Machine Woes

First off, I'm not certain this is a bug, or just a case of severe bad luck. I'm on 1.6.15.3 on Switch.

Basically, I've gone through the first 22 prizes and am into the 9 repeating prize section.
My issues arise when I get to prizes 4 and 9. I've cycled through the repeating prize list 3 times now, and have gotten the pig painting every time for prize 4, and the same potted plant every time for prize 9.

Supposedly, the pig painting is a 25% chance each time you get to prize 4, and the potted plants are 33.3% chance each time for prize 9.

I'm not sure what kind of "luck" I'd need to have this happen, or if it is indeed a bug. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and can confirm or deny for me. Thanks.

It would be very unlucky, but even the unluckiest of scenarios do happen sometimes. I haven't heard of anyone else with the same issue

Hmm, alright. I'll report back once I've cycled the prizes enough to see if I get another pig painting.

Does anyone happen to know if reloading gives you a chance at a different prize? Like say when slot 4 cycles into view, and it's a pig painting. Can I reload and try to get something different? If no one knows, I'll find out myself soon enough. Just need 3-4 more prize tickets to get there.

They show up on the predictor, so I don’t think they’ll change on reload.

So no bug to be found here, just my chronic case of bad luck following me into Stardew is all!
