prismatic jelly being gifted

Hello, so I was completing the prismatic jelly quest and because i had the burglar ring on i got 2 prismatic jellies. so of course I went over to the wizard and gave him one and got my 5000 g. then i was walking around town with it because i had no clue what to do with it and decided to gift it to another player but when i did that a message popped up on my screen saying wrong person. I was playing on a Nintendo switch and gifted it to some one after i completed the quest. anyone have any answers as to who this person may be and what it does?

A: the prismatic slime disapeared the next day because the quest ended
B: I think you can give it to someone because the wrong person message showed up

I respectfully disagree. It sounds wonderful to me! (Unless it causes the game to crash.) I have this need (probably unhealthy) to save any item in a game if it cannot be found anywhere else. What am I gonna do with Ysgramor's Spoon? Proudly display it!...in a chest....with another useless named item.........

Well, I can only think of: 1. As Someone_else said,

...and that's backed up by the wiki pages. If you can't gift it under those conditions, I dunno. Bug maybe? 2. Gift it to yourself. It's pretty. Colorful. Unique. And you worked hard for it! Enjoy it!

I would have tried to place it on a display table, preferably next to a Prismatic Shard and some 'Mud'stone as my most valuable possessions. I suppose it would have disappeared from there the following day but getting a nice screencapture beforehand would prove to the rest of the town that I totally actually caught The Big One finally andandand it just got away somehow.

My bucket was too small to contain it.
It reflected too many of the sun's colors and exploded.
Emily rescued it thinking it was an extinguished Parrot.
The Scarecrow's contract only protects live stuff and those danged Crows got it.
Haley 'accidentally' smashed it with the sledgehammer she happened to ask me about for the first time yesterday.
One of my indentured Junimos ate it thinking it was a Rocket Pop and was upgraded to prizmatic.
Abby grabbed it to make a rainbow Jelly sandwich to prank Seb's Solarion Chroniclesathon.
Marnie snuck it thinking it was hair color to do lucrative dyejobs for the multicolored townies now that I figured out to harvest Hay before Winter.
Clint took it to paint extra Tigereyes and Kyanite and sell as miniPrizzy Shards on the black market.
Leah borrowed it to splatter bits on a boulder for her newest creation, The Cruel Tyranny of the Omni Geode

You will get the Monster Musk recipe after completing the task. This recipe provides the benefit of increasing enemy spawn rates in local caves such as Skull Cave or Quarry Mine. Monster Musk's utility becomes especially important when you're pursuing Monster Eradication Goals or trying to get Ectoplasm from Ghosts. However, keep in mind that in Special Order, only one Prismatic Jelly is required. If the Jelly is not turned over to the Witch, it will be lost once the order is completed or expires.

You can’t give the quest items to other npcs, toss them outside your inventory, trash them, etc.

you aren’t supposed to get two either and the “right person” is the wizard who the quest requires you give the jelly to
