Windows Pickaxing things while not holding pickaxe

Randomly will pickaxe a machine/plant/object while not holding the pickaxe. Have not determined a pattern or repeatable nature, just sporadically happens, turned on recording so I could catch a clip. Did not notice it ever happen until recently, after getting a good ways into the game - fall/winter year 3.

This happens due to a bug and feature combination.

What's happening is that due to the hitbox of the character and a newly loaded machine, when you load a machine while running into it (or just run into it while turning at the perfect time), you'll be clipped inside the machine (the bug).

Then a safety feature the game has is that if a machine is completely blocked off with you inside of it, it'll instantly break when clicked (the feature).

So this combo is leading you to accidentally breaking machines when trying to load them

No problem and thanks for reporting it! It's become a lot more prevalent in 1.6 than it was before from my experience, so it'd be nice to see it addressed at some point

I agree. I’ve had it happen 4 times in one day while collecting from crystalariums. It usually happens at least once a day but I’m collecting usually upwards of a thousand machines.

Still, I've harvested machines 100,000s if not over a million times in 1.5 and it never happened
