Switch PETS DISAPPEARED!

I’m not sure exactly when but in the last couple of days (I’ve played through almost a seasons worth in that time) I noticed all my pets were gone and removed from my list! I’m pretty sure it was some point after the most recent patch. I had 3 including my starter pet and I’m towards the end of fall year 3. I’ve been doing co-op through split screen on the switch but the second person has been in the whole game, not added recently. I’ve stayed at the island farm a couple days in a row before sometime during this period but definitely not long enough to make my starter cat hate me 😭 I know i can just buy more but I miss them. Is there any way to get them back? I’m on nintendo switch so I cant go back on any save files.

Had this happen to me with my starter pet on Switch split-screen multiplayer. It disappeared towards the end of Summer on our first year. Searched our whole farm looking for it and I checked the animal screen and it wasn’t there :( thankfully, we haven’t lost any of our other animals. Haven’t found anything on getting them back, seems like it happens to a lot of people using multiplayer.

Oh no!!! I just realized I don’t think i’ve seen my cat in a while... I definitely got it to full hearts. first though.
