Pet Shop or ability to change type of pet (not breed)

Maybe add some sort of pet shop where you can buy new pets and sell old ones. You could buy a cat or a dog (I would really like this since I don't like the pet I picked in the beginning of the game and I don't want to start over just to change it). Seasonal pets could also be added like different dog breeds in addition to the ones offered at the wizard tower. Even if the devs are not going to add a pet shop I would appreciate if they added some way to change the pet type that you chose in the beginning of the game (not just the breed, but cat to dog or dog to cat).

I think it would make sense for this to part of Marnie's ranch if it was added! And I agree, it would be nice to change from a cat to a dog, or vice versa.
