Paying off Pam's tab

Waiting for Gus to visit Ginger Island is quite annoying as you need it to purchase his curry recipe for perfection.
We can force him by paying off Pam's tab, which'll make him so rich, he'll want to take a vacation the very next day.
it'll cost around 10k, which isn't outrageously expensive nor cheap.

That is a ridiculously high tab for Pam to have accrued, though, considering the economy the NPCs are operating within. Mechanically, I agree with you, but I think it breaks verisimilitude.

Is it though?

One beer is 400, so 10 k is only 25 beer. If she has two per night, that’s less than two weeks. She’s a regular customer, if she says she’ll pay at the end of the month, I think Gus would be kindhearted enough to let her drink…

Okay, considering that Pam was drinking for years, and that that Sdv time schedule in game to real time is about 1 in game year to roughly 1 day, and that Stardew Valley was released and ready in 2016, 9 years ago, that would mean Pam drank 2 beers a day for roughly 3204 years. And this is without leap years, and approximating that a year is 1 day, instead of the 26 hour, 8 minute real time per in-game year. And the 3204 years of drinking, times 112 days, with 2 beers drunk each day, adds up to 717,696 beers drank total, adding up to 287,078,400 gold spent purely on beer. (These numbers may not be perfectly accurate, even with approximations, so the numbers may be off by a bit). If Pam never paid her tab, even somebody like @FilthyGorilla would have trouble paying off her tab.
