Pause time when the screen transitions into a new mines or skull caverns floor

As many already know, there's a trick when descending through the mines/skull caverns where you open the journal to pause time while the screen fades in from black after taking a staircase or shaft.

I honestly find that this strategy takes away from the spelunking experience when you're trying to go as deep as possible (and it's also a bit unenjoyable to watch content creators do this, too). I would like to see this trick become obsolete, as I'm admittedly pretty tired of doing this after years of playing Stardew.

Instead, I think time should pause and your character made unactionable until the screen is fully visible. This can be a global change to any map loading, or isolated to only mines/skull caverns (where it matters most). I don't think players should be punished by the fade in transition, and would be very happy to see a solution to this.

Do you guys have any other ideas as to how to fix this problem? Or do you think the game is better for having this strategy in it?
