I have over 50 of the things on year 250

They were actually getting annoying so I ended up blocking all their spawning spaces, maybe I'll go for 100 of the things sometime in the future.

I'm a fairly new player and I just woke up on my first year in fall and found this owl statue on my farm...
Is there a specific meaning/use for this?

I found mine today I was clueless as well!

I had a central forest on my first play through farm and I got 3 all in the same area, I thought it was the same one that kept moving every so often thought they were creepy and I was going crazy ‍,
Turned out they were different statues and they didn't move at all > I think it took me nearly a full game year to know this.

Not really, the spawn rate was increased at some point. Now they are just uncommon.

I was playing a co op game with my friend a few years ago and had the owl spawn. I was freaking out because last I heard, the stone owl had zero confirmed spawns and was basically a myth, so I posted it super excited, but found out that it became common and was not a big deal anymore lol.

The wiki says it's like a 0.5% chance. Usually in my experience if you have a huge open spot of land on your farm it's pretty likely to generate there. I also think it might be one of those events that depends on your world seed.

I think it's pretty easy, forgive me, I'm not super good at explanations ;-;

What you do essentially, if you have steam like I do. Is this:

Browse the local files of your game. You click into the save-backups folder. Then click into one of the compressed files, and it will display your farm name and the seed for your game. It'll look something like this: YourFarmName_123456789

If this didn't help, I'm sure there are far better tutorials on YouTube lol!

I got quite a few in every of my saves, 4 so far in the current one (year 6) and up to 10 my the first save (year 22). Mostly place them around Grandpa's shrine

They’re handy for holding down grass so the animals don’t eat it all. Turns out Lewis’s statue is too.
