Owl statue on my brand new farm???

So I'm on day 7 of spring year one. About two nights ago I heard an owl when going to sleep, but i thought it was just the owl that makes your crops grow (i'm still pretty new to stardew so i don't know a whole lot about the game yet) Turns out that the owl statue spawned on my farm. I read that this can only happen when you've had your farm for over a year. Thought this was strange.

I think when the wiki says "The event checks the same conditions as the strange capsule event" it just means the placement check, not the year. I got my first owl in summer of Year 1, as I recall. Getting yours so early is certainly unusual since it's a 0.5% chance per night; enjoy the statue!

It is unusual to get 1 that early, but I am pretty sure I got a couple the first year on one of my saves. That game was funny, I got like 6 by year 3. I started putting them in the mines because I didn't want that many on my farm, lol. The current game I am playing, I am in spring of year 3, but haven't got one yet.
